Flight Sim X!!

I just spent an hour writing on this game, trying to make this perfect, to show how much i love it, but sadly it never posted, and here i am starting again.

If you know me well enough im a bit of a sucker for Aircraft games, and this one, being the latest enstalment to the Flight Simulator series, is definatly no exception, because well hmm lets put it this way I LOVE IT.

Lets just get one thing straight, like in all FS games, attention to graphics is much less then attention to realism and control efficientcy. But graphics arnt all that bad. But their is no comparison to the flight controls and realism,its the best out, liek always FS is the step down from a real aircraft simulator which costs houndreds of thousands, and i mean, who has the room. This game brings the simulator to you. Right to your study, but instead of changing simulator for every aircraft, how does it sound to just sit right where you are? how bout get the majority of planes in the world, on your one simulator, what a great chance to experiance this oppertunity.

Who knows where the wide world can take you. Their is a huge range of airports, and a never ending amount of planes, this is on the simulator its self, then you can download of the internet, how bout a B52, now we're talking!!

So where to, just think of the endless possibilities, from Paris to Berlin, how does Austria sound, or even space???, yes space, you heard me right, you can even download a space craft.

Now your thinking, so with all these planes, and all these places, what do we do, well heres your answer, use your imagination, challenge youself, how bout landing a 747 at Essendon, ortrying to go around the world with out stoping for fuel. Ok ill be fair after a while you might not have much things different, but your wrong, their are endless missions and challenges. I must admit you need to be patient to a certain extent, but hey its not that hard, get to ur desired altituide and select your heading,and let the plane do the rest for you, take a nap, eat, drink, what ever you feel, stop in and check you situation, when you have reached your destination, land, easy.
If you dont want to do that, and you cant think of anything, how bout read your pilots book (included in box), it has lots of fun activities and challenges once uve run out of your own.

Maybe your a look see person, then why dont you just fly around, see the Pyrimids of Egypt, or the Eifle tower in Paris.
Then jump online, play with your friends, do what ever you please, after all, The world is yours!

Just remember when you jump into your big 747, before you think the game is running slow on what you thought was a fantastic computer, take some time to ajust, think of what its really like to fly a big jet, its obviously not as agile as a Go Kart. You may not be laging at all
Also, for me i think its easier to fly with the mouse instead of the keyboard to control the plane,but thats up to you.

Personally i think this game is great, and i think you will to, just take some time to get used to it, play around abit, do what you can.
Before you buy it, maybe hire it, see if its for you, or you may just be lucky enough to borrow it from me

Very good review, I played Flight Sim at Games Expo.. I really enjoyed it, yes you do need the patience in the game because it's very realistic. I'd say to use the mouse aswell, the keyboard is set to HARD RIGHT, HARD UP etc as the mouse is analog you can steer at different ranges.

I have never played it but always wanted to. i tried to run it on my crappy laptop but to no avail =( too bad.

Agreed, it is a very good game.. it's got a lot of technical stuff to it as well.

yes it is, im learning to fly, like be a pilot, and ive found that the cessnars are really realistic compaired to real ones, even my instructor told me its the next best thing.
